A Piattatella means 'hideout' in Corsican — and that's exactly what it is. Seventeen rooms spread across small stone villas on a hillside above Monticello, looking out over the Reginu valley and the mountains of La Balagne. Owners Thierry and Valérie built this place around a specific idea: nature first, luxury second. The materials are noble (linen, wood, stone), the scale is deliberately small, the service is genuinely personal. Two pools, a proper spa, and a restaurant using produce from their own garden patches and named local farmers. No children under 12. No noise.

These rooms feel most immersed in the Corsican maquis, with garden views rather than the sweeping panoramas of the upper-floor rooms. Same amenities as the Superior. One room in this category is adapted for guests with reduced mobility.

Bathrooms in at least some rooms include both a bath and a walk-in shower.

Hiking trails of all levels begin within 200 meters of the hotel, directly into the Corsican maquis and Balagne hills. The hotel can advise on routes.

Tucked into the heart of the Corsican maquis, away from the main estate spaces. Smaller, quieter, adults-only. The natural setting — endemic plants, total seclusion — makes it feel genuinely removed from the world.
The main pool faces the vast Balagne landscape and is framed by century-old olive trees. Infinity-edge design. One of two pools, this one is heated and available throughout the season. Sun loungers and pool umbrellas included.
