A Mandria di Murtoli
Rustic-luxury Corsican hamlet. Think dolce vita meets sustainable farming: stone walls thick enough to keep things cool in August heat, a pool bordered by olive trees that echoes old Corsican lavoirs, and a restaurant cooking whatever the estate farm just harvested. Not a grand hotel — more like borrowing a beautifully restored shepherd's hamlet for a week.
Book La Table de la Grotte (cave dinner at Domaine de Murtoli) the moment you confirm your stay — it fills fast and is only open Wed–Sun evenings.
Why It Matters
A Mandria is part of the Domaine de Murtoli, one of the most acclaimed private estates in Europe — 2,500 hectares of protected wilderness with a working farm, a Michelin-starred restaurant (La Table de la Ferme), a 12-hole Kyle Phillips-designed golf course, and three kilometres of private beach. As a hotel guest you get access to all of it by reservation, while staying in something far more intimate and new than the main estate hotel.
A Mandria di Murtoli opened in June 2025 as the newest — and most intimate — outpost of the legendary Domaine de Murtoli estate in southern Corsica. Ten rooms and suites are spread across restored stone sheepfolds, stables, and a barn on a working 2,500-hectare farm, all with views over the wild Ortolo valley. The vibe is slow-tourism luxury: ancient vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, natural materials, Italian-inspired farm-to-fork dining under century-old olive trees, and enough maquis silence to actually hear the cicadas.
